CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT), in collaboration with Green Bridges – Verein für globale Zusammenarbeit und nachhaltige Entwicklung, is seeking international experts to conduct a learning review of the Sustainable Community Development Project. The project is supported by Land Vorarlberg and the Austrian Development Agency.
About the Project
Since 2009, SAT has been at the forefront of promoting agroecology, farmer training, and community empowerment in Tanzania. Through this project, SAT and partners apply the Participatory Assessment of Climate and Disaster Risks (PACDR) approach, enabling communities around the Mkingu Nature Forest Reserve to:
- Assess climate and disaster vulnerabilities and opportunities,
- Jointly plan adaptation strategies, and
- Implement climate-smart solutions with SAT’s technical support.
Key interventions include climate-smart farming, agroforestry, women’s empowerment, and microloans for alternative livelihoods. The project also strengthens cocoa, cardamom, and clove value chains by linking resilience with market opportunities.
The Learning Review
Scheduled for November 2025, the Learning Review will:
- Reflect on project experiences,
- Generate actionable recommendations, and
- Share lessons with communities, partners, government, and the global PACDR network.
Expertise Required
We invite applications from international experts with proven experience in:
- PACDR methodology,
- Cocoa value chain development, and
- Cooperative management.
