Meet Mr. Joseph Kulwa, a dedicated farmer and founding member of the Tuelimike Farmer Group, established under the SUCODE Project in 2023.

Before joining the group, Mr. Kulwa practiced farming using traditional methods, which limited his productivity and income. Through the SUCODE Project, implemented by Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT), he gained access to a series of practical capacity-building trainings,including poultry production, tree nursery establishment, and vegetable cultivation.

The knowledge and skills acquired through these trainings enabled Mr. Kulwa to diversify and improve his farming activities. He successfully started a poultry enterprise alongside his crop production,creating an additional source of income and strengthening his household's economic resilience. As a result, his livelihood has significantly improved,demonstrating the positive impact of adopting sustainable agricultural practices.

Reflecting on his journey, Mr. Kulwa shared:

"From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thank Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT) for its commitment to transforming our community and improving our livelihoods. Through the SUCODE Project, I received valuable training in poultry production, which gave me the knowledge and confidence to start and expand my poultry enterprise. Today, I keep more than 150 chickens, providing my family with a reliable source of income and a more secure future. The knowledge and support I have received have truly transformed my farming practices and my family's livelihood."
